Community Pharmacy Care Home Support Service (Level1) - Northern Ireland

In December 2021 the 'Community Pharmacy Care Home Support' service ( CPCHSS) Level 1 replaced the 'Advice to Nursing Homes and Residential Care Homes' service .

The aim of the service is for community pharmacy to provide advice and support to care homes, around the procedures and protocols for the ordering, supply, safe storage and disposal of medicines and appliances

Eligibility 

The service can be offered to any RQIA registered Residential or Nursing home, that the pharmacy is providing a dispensing service to . 

Funding Structure 

The monthly fee structure is based on the number of beds within the care home
