This service allows patients using Welsh General Ophthalmic Services (WGOS) for urgent care, easy access to prescription only medicines and appliances.
The optometrist will use a BLUE WP10(SO) signed order form to prescribe a product from a service formulary .
The patient will present the form to community pharmacy for products to be supplied free of charge.
Reimbursement
WP10(SO) forms are endorsed in the same way as prescriptions and included in the totals on the WP34c.
Pharmacies will receive professional fees and practice payments for each medicine or appliance they supply as set out in Parts III and VIA of the Drug Tariff.
