A. Palexia’s generic name is tapentadol which is a schedule 2 controlled drug. Tapentadol is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe acute pain in adults, which can be adequately managed only with opioid analgesics.

Tapentadol is a strong analgesic with µ-agonistic opioid and additional noradrenaline reuptake inhibition properties. It has all the legal requirements of a schedule 2 controlled drug with an entry required in its own separate CD register insert.
