Starting 1st October 2025, prescriptions for generic versions of Tadalafil and Vardenafil no longer require the prescriber to add the ‘SLS’ endorsement. However, if prescribing the branded versions—Cialis® or Levitra®—the ‘SLS’ endorsement is still required.

Please note:
- Prescribers must not include ‘SLS’ in the dosage or instructions section of the prescription.
- Pharmacy staff are not permitted to add ‘SLS’ to prescriptions, only the prescriber can add this.
